Kadans expanding to Automotive Campus.
Kadans Science Partner has extended their portfolio with the purchase of Test Center Helmond. With this, Kadans acquires its first location on Automotive Campus Helmond. The building is bought from a private investor.
Test Center Helmond is a knowledge center with offices and various automotive test facilities. At the location, crash tests are simulated and various research spaces are specifically arranged for motor tests. Test Center Helmond is a perfect example of the activities on the Automotive Campus. Automotive Campus Helmond is situated in the Brainport Region and is both a national and international hotspot for developments and innovations in the field of smart and sustainable mobility solutions. Currently, the campus is home to over 40 businesses, educational and knowledge institutions.
Test Center Helmond encompasses 26,095 square meters, and is currently in use by TNO, the Netherlands Organization for applied scientific research, and TASS/Siemens, which tests new technologies for the automotive sector in Helmond. Both parties are connected to Test Center Helmond for the long-term.
With the purchase of Test Center Helmond on the Automotive Campus, Kadans extends its portfolio with a new campus and new field of knowledge. This acquisition is an example of the realization of the growth ambitions of Kadans.
Backed by up-to-date knowledge and experience, Kadans Science Partner focuses on the successful exploitation of (multi-tenant) buildings on and around science parks and university campuses. There is an increasing need for suitable real estate solutions for both science and business. In July 2017, Kadans launched a joint venture with Oaktree Capital Management. Kadans expects to expand its real estate portfolio with the help of Oaktree’s experience, large network and financial strength. Kadans has built a solid track record with positions in Wageningen, Nijmegen, Utrecht, Breda, Den Bosch and Eindhoven. At this moment, Kadans’ portfolio includes over 225 tenants in 15 buildings and 8 fields of knowledge.
